Gun Control

Some people may argue that Cheney's hunting accident demonstrates the need for stricter gun control. I say that it proves just the opposite: one of the reasons we allow people to bear arms is to protect them from government. Guns don't kill people, government kills people! If Mr. Whittington had a bigger gun, and better armor, he might have been able to defend himself against the tyranny that is Vice President Cheney.

I would also like to add that there is a silver lining to this tragic event: most news anchors are calling Harry Whittington "Mr. Whittington," rather than "Harry," or "H," or even "Whitt-diddy." This is a heartening sign of a return to civility in the public sphere.
